1 Purpose of Starting

Teens For Christ Rwanda was dedicated to reaching teens with the gospel of Jesus Christ, helping them grow in the Lord, and guiding them into becoming fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

2 Humble Beginnings

Teens For Christ is about the story of the Good News of Jesus Christ in the lives of teenagers and others who believe in this great ministry. In 2014, MBANZABUGABO MUTETERI AMINADAB and a few other members, after his Bible college in Kenya, started this ministry officially in Rwanda.

Aminadab, with passion from Kenya's spiritual awakening, was led to the conviction that this Good News needed to be shared and to a vision of impacting the lives of young people with the Gospel. Among the founding members, we can mention Mbonye Martin, Sezibera Pheneias, Kampirwa Jeanine, and Nyirahabimana Marie Rose. With the help of these members, TFC has been able to start its first chapter meeting at Presbyterian Secondary School at Kamembe.

Years of Ministry

Today, we have 104 chapter meetings weekly that we run every single week, reaching over 70,000 teenagers. Over the past 10 years, we have seen the Lord work in exciting ways as Teens For Christ Rwanda continues to grow and reach teens with the Gospel.

In 2016, TFC started the Youth Ministry Institute for Teens, a deeper discipleship program that provides a nine-month certificate in studying the Bible and doing youth ministry.

4 Current Ministry Center

In January 2022, we rented a small ministry center in Nyamirambo, Kigali City. It serves both as a classroom for discipleship and as the office headquarters for TFC's various programs. Our staff has more than doubled in the past decade, with the majority working full-time.

Now we are working hard to do fundraising so we can support staff and volunteers financially. Some of them are in their forties and many in their twenties, having participated in TFC programs when they were teens and knowing firsthand the spiritual impact of these ministries, and are now serving in the ministry.

5 Moving Forward

"He who called us is faithful, and we fervently pray and expect that, through our ministry, teens will continue to encounter and be transformed by Jesus Christ for generations to come."

Moving forward, Teens For Christ is committed to maintaining and strengthening these programs while being open to see where God leads us next.
